  1. How do I downgrade my PsP Slim and Lite (firmware Original Firmware 5.02 ) to get custom firmware ?
    I have a .cso game I want to open on the Psp but I need custom firmware. Can I get custom firmware without attempting to make a “Pandora’s” battery and a “Magic” memory stick because it is too risky for me to make and I cant get a new stick or battery if it goes bust. What should I do ?

    thanks for your question.
    It is not possible to get cfw any other way. it is necessary to make pandora battery and magic stick. you can’t make pandora battery from original slim battery – only way to do pandora from that battery is to open it – and i don’t usually tell that to people because like you said it is tooooooo damn risky, while working with stick to get magic stick you can’t do anything wrong that simple fomating of the stick wouldn’t fix.
    try to find someone with already downgraded psp fat.

  3. Ok so i have just recently bought a used psp and it was already on ofw 5.02 and i have been trying to find some cfw to run on it but cant find any because they are all “Corrupt Data”!!! What do i do? What do i need? and How do i get it?

    PS: im new to CFW and installing it and need assistance

  4. Hi Jake,

    in order to run cfw you need to:

    1. find another psp that is downgraded – fat version
    2. make from its battery so called Pandora battery and magic stick from normal pro duo memory stick
    3. in order to make those two things you need despertar cementario version ….. lets say no. 6
    4. when you make pandora and magic stick first you put magic stick then pandora battery in your psp and you do downgrade.

    hope this gives you a bit of knowledge from downgrading 🙂

  5. Could i just buy a new battery for the phat version? and do i HAVE to have 2 memory sticks? one for use and one to be the magic one or can i have it all on one?

    Also where do i go about getting despertar centario no. 6 ?

    you could buy new battery from phat version, but it has to be original sony, i really don’t know where you could buy that battery without the used psp fat…i can’t find anywhere near my country, perhapes you can in your country, but i doubt it,but hey anything is possible 🙂 .

    you don’t need to have 2 memory sticks, 1 is enough, when you finish downgrading you can format stick and use it for games, when you will need to downgrade again you can put new files on it and make magic stick over again. it is complicated to do so with one stick, but if you don’t have any other option that is the only one. if you could find somewhere 256mb pro duo stick just for having for magic stick that would be great for you.

  7. Since my PSP is the fat one couldn’t i just use the old battery as the pandora’s battery and just use the new one as my main battery? Seems reasonable enough or does the battery have to already be downgraded?

  10. dc has readme inside the folder so follow that up…new page is opened “downgrade psp” so check that out maybe you’ll find something interesting.

    yes,you could use new battery as main, and old battery as pandora, all you need now is to find someone who has downgraded psp so that you can make pandora battery of your old fat battery.

  12. AHA i figured it out! I went to the nearest game store and the sold me a used psp fat battery and it has OFW 1.00 so it can be updated and i just made a pandoras battery with my brothers help! Thanks to you i got the magic memory stick to work as well! Thanks for all the help!

    you need to make magic stick out of the normal stick. you need to find here on page somewhere my link to despertar cemenatario v.7 follow its readme instructions.

    when you make magic stick then you first put magic stick in your psp and then pandora battery….if your battery is nicely done it should go on green led like when you turn on your psp when it is in noramal stage with normal battery and then if you have done everything good with magic stick you should see on your screen Instal cfw.

  19. you can’t downgrade to 1.5, why would you even do that? then you can’t play new games. very one i know they are running some m33 cfw on their psp’s.
    in order to make magic stick first format stick on your pc – so that is empty totally without any folder on it…. then find despertar cementario v7 on this page or pandora deluxe 2.8 and follow their insturctions on making magic stick.

    i am sure you will get some instructions with pandora but here is short explaination….if you don’t get magic stick please try to find on this page despertar cementario v7 or pandora deluxe 2.8 and read their readme insturctions on how to make magic stick ONLY. you will have to format your stick – no folders should be on it -.

    have you read downgrade psp page?you should find there how to make pandora battery. in order to make it you need to have downgraded psp, original sony fat battery – that battery is the only one that can be made to pandora battery, and also for downgrade you need to make magaic stick out of the noramal memory pro duo stick.

    well install pandora deluxe on your pc and follow its instructions and read readme instruction. when you make magic stick with that program put your magic stick first in your psp then pandora battery, install screen should pop up, then you follow its instructions and with a bit of luck you will downgrade your psp.

    psp can’t run ps2 games. which acutally game you want to run? if you want to run ps1 game you don’t need any kind of emulator….i think you have downgraded psp so all you need to do is make folder where you will put that eboot.pbp file …. then go to memory stick -> psp> game folder -…..folder that you’ve made you put in that game folder that is it….go to game menu on your psp and find that game.

  36. hi…i remember that once in a shop i found a psp battery which claimed that it will give 12 hrs. battery life…but at the same time the shopkeeper told me that the battery cannot be used for data transfer…what did he mean?did he mean that it will not be possible to create a pandora battery with it?or did he mean anything else….

  37. i do that an the file on the psp comes up with corrupte data 😦

    i downloaded a fold called psx to psp, it has all my all fav games
    but there .pbp format and my psp cant seam to run them,
    is there a emulator i need to run em?

    it runs iso’s/cso’s fine.

My Question is how do I get my psp with the ofw 5.02 on it to play emulators like snes, nes, etc… and be able to still play new games and so on, I don’t care about burned games I don’t need to have that service, all I want is to play new games that I buy and also b able to play old school games on the emulators, also install instuctions plz, k thx.

  47. My friend Moded my psp slim; i verified this by going into system info and I confirmed it said M33…then i went home and did update network and now it doesn’t say M33 anymore it says 5.02…is there a way to go back to M33, since my psp was already moded? or do i have to do everything again?

  50. HI I HAVE A NEW PSP SLIM WITH 5.02 FIRWARE NOT CUSTOM FIRMWARE. I HAVE ALREADY MADE A MAGIC MEMORY STICK BUT I AM NOT SURE IF IT IS A MAGIC MEMORY STICK HOW CAN I CHECK IF IT IS A PROPER MAGIC MEMORY STICK AND I HAVE MADE A PANDORA BATTERY BUT IT IS STILL WORKING AS A NORMAL BATTERY.     I accidently upgraded my PSP to v. 5.02 official firmware. Is it possible to downgrade that? A technician said it’s possible with a Pandora Battery. My PSP is a Slim 2000. Please help. Buying games are too expensive.
